Arriving Home

Every morning I awake from my slumber and walk to the widows walk that is atop the house, where my family lives. He has been gone for many months now, my dear husband, who was on a ship that went out to sea with fellow seafaring men. Some say the ship was lost at sea. A possible seawreck. There are those who have been searching for the lost ship. I am in disbelief that the ship has been lost at sea. I have dreams that the ship is arriving home soon. In my dreams my husband is well and fine. He greets me with stories of where he and his shipmates have been. The adventures that took them off course and took a long time to find their way back to their loved ones.. Arriving home, you are in my dreams every night. In the morning, I  awake and again walk the widow's walk atop our home. I have a good view of ships arriving home to their loved ones. I am in disbelief that you and your shipmates are lost at sea. I believe you will be arriving home soon. We will hold each other and cry for the time lost while you were not home these many months, going on years.
