Glimmer

the sky swam with stars
glowing and fading
twisting

i had a million questions
and asked
none.

twenty years from now,
will i remember this walk

and those stars

when you are fading
like the last wisps of blue on the horizon?

or is it destined to become dust
in the corners of my mind

lofting on the breezes of my thoughts
rushing by

dare i hope
it catches the sun

and glimmers?

 like the light
of stars
