Rider

One never knows when your journey ends,
Or ultimately what is your destination.
Will you be with strangers or with friends?
Could you accept it without any hesitation?

Here a riderless pale horse awaits,
To carry you across some distant river,
And climb the mountains of the Fates,
Where you receive the judgments they deliver.

That trek may be gentle or quite painful…
The saddle you straddle treats you as you’ve lived.
Do others feel that you have been disdainful?
Or one whose love was quickly to forgive?

Keep in mind the resting place you’ll find,
Will reflect your life’s balance between cruel and kind.

Meet the Creators

Julie Sforza

From working on the computer to getting her hands dirty, exploring many mediums keeps creativity flowing for Ipswich resident Julie Sforza. Learning black and white photography in 1996, revealed an eye for design leading to a career as a professional graphic designer. Time is still set aside for photography. Still life and landscapes are favorite subjects, but nothing is excluded. When time allows, painting, drawing, collage, stitch work, and dabbling in writing are other sources for creation. Inspiration is everywhere, how to contain it is the challenge.
