About the Creators

Patty Chen

Patty Chen is a mixed media painter based in Houston, Texas. She has studied at the Glassell School of Art at the MFA Houston. Working primarily in acrylics, she often incorporates collage, watercolor pencils, markers, and pastels in her pieces. Her subjects include human models and birds. Lately she has been inspired by the natural beauty of Ipswich where she spends her summers and has been exploring landscapes as well as abstract realism. She makes her own collage papers with acrylic paint, rice paper, a gelli plate and found objects and botanicals. She loves hunting in local antique stores for unique mark making tools or old papers to use in her paintings.

Eliza Jane Seastone

Eliza Jane Seastone likes to dabble in all kinds of creative endeavors. Watercolor and acrylic paint, mask making, decoupage, cake decoration, costume design, wood and paper, collage, and window painting -to name a few. (Go visit her window works at the Ipswich Family YMCA!) She loves living and working in Ipswich with her hilarious son, delightful husband and wonderpup. She is inspired by our community, creatures, nature, the silly and absurd.
